We produce solid planks in a lot of different types of woods and different qualities. For our local woods we just use round timber with the PEFC-Certificate.
It takes about two years from cut down the tree until our planks are ready for delivery. In the first step we keep the log wood in the forest for almost one year. After this year we carry them to our own sawmill and produce sawn lumber in different thicknesses and qualities. Now the sawn lumber will be air dried for about 6-9 Month. This air dried lumber now will be cut to the raw dimension we need for our plank production. This semi-product again will be air dried for another 3-4 month. After this time the sawn raw wood will be brought in special drying chambers to dry them to the necessary 9%. Afterwards we put the dried sawn lumber in a special climate hall. In this climate hall there is a steady 20°C temperature and 55% humidity so the wood can aligned. Finally now we can start the production.
We believe in this complex method of production because then the wood is very calm and it works considerably less and our customers can take advantage of it. Especially manufacturers from abroad often don't use this expensive production method and therefore they are able to reducing the manufacturing process to less than 6 months. But these products are often very anxious and the colour often looks unnatural too.
As the biggest and oldest parquet factory in Germany with the latest production technology we have a huge experience with wood and wood production and we want you to benefit from our know-how.
